Q10379 - INFO: Controlling which database is opened by default.

Problem

How do I use the Commence /database= command line option?

Cause
N/A

Solution

The /database= command line option takes as an argument either:

  • the full path to a Commence database directory OR
  • the name of the database as defined in commence.ini.

This option can be appended to the Commence shortcut used for starting up a copy of Commence on a particular database other than the last active database.  The active database opens by default when no alternative is specified using /database or /prompt.

This option can be used to start multiple Commence servers or different databases on the same PC.
