About the Update
This Update will upgrade Commence RM Designer Edition version 3.5, 3.6, 4.0, 4.0(a), 4.1, 4.1(a), 5.0, 5.0(a) and 5.0(b) to the Commence RM Designer Edition version 5.0(c) release.
Changes in Commence RM version 5.0(c)
Updates:
* Office 2013 theme improvement to support cascading and tiling windows
* Calendar view improvements for work week view
* Resolved a calendar view issue when using multiple detail forms that prevent the selected form from opening
* Resolved issue with resizing Multi-view panes when it was dragged too small
* Resolved issue with the color coding Legend window, which did not display the correct number of color code entries
* Increased the DDE string length allowed for Agent Receive DDE triggers to 35 characters to match earlier Commence versions
* Resolved issue when using a calendar view as secondary view in a multi-view that caused a crash
* Updates to the database conversion which did not properly handle agent message box actions. Installing RM 5.0(c) will automatically run this conversion and update the convert.log file with any fixed agents.
* Resolved crash during workgroup syncing due to increase in number of fields per category.

* Improved Conversion Utility --JJ070 converter DLL updates existing databases in RM 3.x or RM 4.x format to the RM 5.0 database format.
* Resolved issue where detail form connection fields did not display additional fields per the advanced connection options
* Resolved program crash on printing report style views.
* Workgroup Expert configuration is retained after the upgrade
* Proper permissions are set for the compaper.pim files so that custom paper layouts can be saved
* Commence tutorial mode uses the proper 8.0 directory in the application data directory.
Changes in Commence RM version 5.0
Updates:
* JJ070 converter DLL automatically updates existing databases in RM 3.x or RM 4.x format to the new RM 5.0 database format.
* Converter DLL handles conversion of a Commence Workgroup, including the administration WGFiles, server and client databases. Older clients are placed in error mode until they are upgraded to RM 5.0 and any pending changes are re-sent.
Database Capacity:
* Database capacity increase to allow up to 250 fields per category (increased from 100 fields).
* View icon labels allow 50 characters (increased from 10 characters).
Office 2013 UI
* Updated ribbon UI, including File menu with Help and Check for Update options.
Improved support for Windows 7 and Windows 8 environments
* Changes to use INI files for application settings instead of registry settings.
* Custom page layouts (compaper.pim) stored in Application Data folder.
Fixes:
* Installer improvements to better support word macro installation for Office 365.
* Resolved issues with Microsoft Excel charting feature in Office 2013.
* Grid view focus now reverts to first record when a detail form is closed.
* Resolved issue with prefix matching in Multiviews.

* Resolved error "Encountered an improper argument" while saving a new record via a detail form.
* Improved the display of detail form connection controls using combostyle; whitespace is no longer shown.
* In grid views, prefix matching search text is properly cleared/reset with UP or DOWN arrow keys.
* Resolved grid view issue where scroll bar does not display for views in summary mode.
* Improved the expland/collapse feature for grid views with grouping.

* Grid view tool tip pop-up to improve visibility for truncated cells.
* Reposition grid view columns on-the-fly with simple drag and drop.
* Report Designer update with new interface for toolbars, script editor and preview tabs and toolbox properties.
* New chart control for the report designer to insert bar, pie and line charts.
* Conversion utility to easily update existing report views to use the new designer. Unconverted reports can continue to be used, as is.
* Workgroup Export report enhancements include workgroup ID numbers in workgroup summary and client sync status charts.

* Default installation for 'All Users' no longer requires Windows administrator rights.

* Database settings previously saved to the Windows registry (HKLM) are now stored in the DATABASE.INI file.
* Outlook Add-in updated to read the INI file instead of the Windows registry.

Fixes:
* Calendar view Mini-month dates are properly refreshed and font turns bold when new appointments are added
* In multi-views, (-SelectedText-) filter is properly applied when switching primary views.

* Home - Send no longer creates blank calendar if it contains un-timed appointments.
* Home - Send now works with calendar view names containing a colon (:) character.
