About the Update
This Update will upgrade Commence RM Designer Edition version 3.5, 3.5.1, 3.5.2, 3.6, and 3.6(a) to the Commence RM Designer Edition version 3.6(b) release.
Changes in Commence RM version 3.6(b)
Updates:
* Calendar print outs wrap the appointment text/title so information is not truncated
* New Styles added: Windows Vista Royal Style and Mac OS-X Style
* Selected item in calendar views works properly with View Linking
Fixes:
* Resolved grid view refresh problem which caused items to disappear in edit mode and controls not repainting properly when used in a secondary view.
* Updated report viewer subreport documentation as it pertains to detail that spans multiple pages.
* Resolved issue with Detail Forms opening with an extra band of form background.

New Look
* Personalize your view bar, tool bar, and desktop with new style choices: Office 2007, Windows Vista, Windows Vista (Black), Windows XP Luna, and Windows XP Royal.
* Improved icons for views, toolbars, and command bar buttons
* Number (0 - 9) icons have been added to the icon library for use with view bar and tool bar buttons.
Calendar
* Calendar has been redesigned to echo the styling of the Microsoft Outlook calendar.
* More at-a-glance features provide information such as the day of week above the time slots in Day format, and showing the short date before each week for 2 Weeks, Month, and 6 Weeks format.
* Browse buttons now appear on dates with no appointment to quickly view the date of your next or previous appointment.
* Expanded display area at top of day planner for appointments with no specific start time
* Better drag & drop support for Calendars within multi-views. Quickly reschedule appointments, extend meeting times, and more
* Improved WYSIWYG printing for calendars across all modes
Views
* Multi-views now have the option of displaying the view icon next to the tab name. Icons are selected in the Save View As dialog when creating or modifying the secondary view.
* Color Code Template colors have been updated to offer lighter background color choices while still retaining some of the deeper colors which are the preferred choice for text color coding.
Usability Enhancements
* Natural date language now supports simplified phrases such as 'beginning of next month', where 'the beginning of next month' previously required.
* More custom views can now be saved. Database capacity has been increased from 1000 to 2000 for the maximum number of views per database.
* Calendar color coding has been turned off by default to maintain expected view appearances in upgraded databases. Please review your color code templates in converted databases to verify the appropriate colors are selected for foreground vs. background use.
Fixes
* Calendar Design view settings have been updated to support the redesigned calendar view options. Calendar preferences dialog has also been updated to remove obsolete options for day planner printing. Calendar Image format and corresponding image packs are no longer available.
* Select Items window is no longer accessible by double-clicking on a date header in calendars.
* Improved detail form performance by resolving GDI memory usage issue.
* Improved multi-view performance with better caching.
* Resolved application error when configuring workgroup permissions dialog for more than 50 desktops and categories.

Workgroup
* Large number of categories and desktops are now supported when setting user access rights to data
* Switching to a new default detail form is now synchronized independently of other form changes
* Increased fault tolerance for brief internet connection outages. Automatically resumes file upload/download.
* Long connection names are displayed in their entirety on the sync progress message box
* Resolves application error with open forms during background synchronization
* Toolbar is now refreshed properly to show alert status of Message log button when synchronization is off
Views
* Grid view in locked mode no longer allows characters to be erased using Delete key
* Pick-list items in multi-view filtering toolbar are sorted properly
* Grid view toolbar now wraps when view is resized
* Resolves intermittent application error when reopening a minimized calendar view
