Problem
Viewbar or any toolbar disappears in Commence RM
Cause
N/A
Solution
First check under Customize - Preferences - Toolbars (or Edit - Preferences - Toolbars).
Confirm that the setting to 'Show View Bar' or 'Show Tool Bar' is enabled. Also verify that no command line options, such as '/NOVIEWS', are applied to the Commence shortcut. Clear the path to the Icon directory and click on Done.
If all of the above options are set correctly, it is possible the viewbar (or any toolbar) has been dragged off the visible part of the screen and docked there. To resolve this, clear the registry settings for the toolbar and it will return to the default docked position.
Step-by-step instructions follow.

WARNING: The following steps require making changes to the Windows Registry. Incorrectly editing the registry could adversely affect all your Windows applications. If you are unfamiliar with editing the registry, first backup the registry (Registry- Export registry to file). Use this tool at your own risk.
- Close commence, then run Regedit. Go to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Commence\Databases\6.0
- Scroll through the list of numbers until you find the number for your
database.
- Once you have the number, go up to the key for
\Software\Commence\Commence\6.1\Windows\ and delete the entire key (numbered
folder) for the database. This will be recreated with the default docked
settings when the database is opened.
This method can be used to restore any lost toolbar (command bar, agent bar, status bar, etc.) To reset the toolbars for all databases delete each key (numbered folder) but DO NOT remove the nodb folder.
