Summary
This is the directory referenced in the Help - System Information - Directory Information dialog box. Commence uses the TEMP variable to decompress sync packets as they are processed. It is neccessary to have plenty of disk space available in this directory.

To view or change the TEMP and TMP environment variables:
- From the Start Menu, choose Settings then choose Control Panel.
- Click the System icon
- Open the Advanced tab in the System Properties window.
- Click Environment Variables to view the user variables and system variables for Windows.
- Look in the section for System variables and locate the TEMP and TMP settings.
- To modify the location of the TEMP variables, select each setting and click Edit to change the path.
- Restart Windows after modifying these settings. Windows will recreate any necessary files in the new location.
Common locations for the TEMP and TMP directories are C:\Windows\Temp and C:\Temp. Make sure the directory exists and that there is plenty of available disk space in this directory location.
