Q10192 - HOWTO: Troubleshooting WG Expert Errors from a client PC

Problem
Often the Commence Server PC is not located in the same office as the Commence administrator.

Cause

Solution
Remote administrators can take a copy of the Workgroup Expert documentation with them to their location. These documents will aid you in troubleshooting any workgroup synchronization problems that may arise.

  1. Using Windows Explorer, find the directory where the Workgroup Expert was
    installed. This path is typically C:\ Program Files\Commence Workgroup Expert.
  2. Copy the files with an extension of .HLP and .CNT to a network drive or diskette. These are the online help files.
  3. Copy the file named WGXGUIDE.PDF to the same location. This is the online user guide found in the the Commence program directory, typically C:\ Program Files\Commence RM Workgroup
  4. Bring this disk to your site. These documents may be used to look up keywords referred to in the Workgroup Expert Report
